Vita Rose Arena

OCEAN PINES — Vita Rose Arena, age 83, died Saturday, Aug. 27 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Charles Aguanno and Lena Alfano Aguanno.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy W. Arena, in January 2011.  They had been married 62 years at the time of his death.

She had been an executive secretary with ALCOA in Pittsburgh and was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Ocean Pines.

She is survived by her daughter, Annette F. Arena and her husband Jack H. Belgum, of San Anselmo, Calif. and her son, Joseph Anthony Arena and his wife, Ann Cecilia, of Downingtown, Pa.  

There are four grandchildren, Daniel and Anthony Arena and Elena and Monica Belgum, and two great-grandchildren, Alex Damiano Miles and William Miles.  Also surviving 

are her brother, Joseph Aguanno and his wife, Gilda, of Mays Landing, N.J., her sister, Frances Mancino and her husband John, of Ocean Pines and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, Sept. 10 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Ocean Pines.  Friends called on Friday, Sept. 9 at the Burbage Funeral
