(April 29, 2021) Ocean Pines Association General Manager John Viola issued a statement last Thursday about two workers who tested positive for covid-19.

“Two members of our Police Department recently tested positive for covid-19. The employees have not returned to work and will not until it is safe to do so, consistent with CDC protocols,” Viola said, adding that the administration notified the health department and vowed to cooperate fully with public health officials.

“We understand that these employees had no further close contact with residents or other employees,” he said.

He also said the administration continues to insist that covid-19 safety protocols be followed, including “maintaining 6 feet of separation between others, and wearing masks when indoors or social distancing is not possible.”
