SHEPHERD’S NOOK FLEA MARKET CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

OCEAN PINES–The
main purpose of the Shepherd’s Nook Thrift Shop at Community Church
at Ocean Pines is outreach ministry.
It also provides great fellowship among the volunteers who work there.
All the volunteers are working hard to improve the Nook, to make it a
better place to shop and to volunteer.
Currently
the Flea Market area of the Nook is under construction and is temporarily
closed until the work is completed. The side walls have been enclosed, windows
installed, and exterior siding is in place. Work is being completed by capable
volunteers from the congregation. Pastor Boyd has dubbed them the “Community
Church Construction Company.”
The work on the
Flea Market is moving right along, and we hope to reopen that area in a few
weeks. Please hold your household items until the reopening as we are a little
short on storage space.
The
main shopping area of the Shepherd’s Nook remains open with bargains on
clothing for children, women and men. Shoes and accessories are also available,
as well as an assortment of bedding items and curtains. Shopping hours are
Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
As
an additional mission outreach Sarah’s Pantry is located within the Shepherd’s
Nook. This area serves as a food pantry and helps the less fortunate in the
community in coordination with area agencies. The pantry is always grateful for
donations of non-perishable foods from the community.

Stop in and visit the
Shepherd’s Nook and discover the items for sale at bargain prices.  While you are there check out the work
on the expansion of the Flea Market area.
