SNOW HILL — Paul Edward Carder, age 89, died Tuesday, May 24 at his home. Born in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Burton Carder and Goldie Houchen Carder.   

Carder was a United States Navy Veteran.  He had worked for many years as a machine operator for Armco Steel.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara Carder; his children, Paul J. Carder and his wife Winona and Kathleen M, Neal; a sister, Melba Alton; three grandchildren, Nikole Brooks, Paul E. Carder and Hustali Neal; there are six great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Carder.  

A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 1. Interment was at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
