New Berlin Board and Commission members are sworn in by Mayor Gee Williams during a Town Council meeting Monday night.

(Sept. 27, 2018) Berlin Mayor Gee Williams is almost finished with this year’s installation of members to the town’s boards and commission, with the swearing in Monday of two more appointees.

Robert Palladino, a new appointment to the board of appeals, and Preston Whaley, new to the board of supervisors of elections, were both sworn in on Monday.

“We’re very pleased that both of you are our newest members of boards and commissions, and I hope you find it very rewarding,” Williams said.

Also approved by the Town Council and sworn in by Williams during recent months were Jane Briddell, Bill Burke and Milt Warren to the ethics commission, Bruce Hyder, Mike Wiley, Patricia Dufendach and Sarah Hooper to the parks commission, and Leslie Gebhart to the housing board of review.

Williams said two more appointments, Mary Moore and Jeff Ricks to the housing board of review, had been approved by the council but had to take their oaths of office. He does not expect additional board or commission appointments until next spring.
