Dixie Arlene Lindenberger

PARSONSBURG — Dixie Arlene Lindenberger, age 83, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Sept. 5. Born in Maryland she was the daughter of the late Henry Fryfogle and Myrtle Meekins Fryfogle. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Lindenberger, Sr.

Linderberger had worked as a bus driver for Baltimore County Schools. She had a passion for playing Bingo and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Olivet Christian Church in Snow Hill.

She is survived by a son, Joseph Lindenberger, Jr and his wife Ann; a daughter, Colleen Council “Doll”; nine grandchildren, Joseph Lindenberger, III, Scott Lindenberger, Robin Lake, Colleen Paugh “Pink”, Alex Monroe, William Council, Jr. “Blue”, Gerald Hampton, Steven Council, and Debbie Brannan; five great grandchildren, Sierra, Josh, Rafael, Malissa and Kaitlyn; a brother, Vernon Fryfogle; two sisters, Betty Corbin and Nancy Bouchat.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jodie Lindenberger and a great grandson, Marc Paugh.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, Sept. 11 at Olivet Christian Church in Snow Hill. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
