Debra Jean Miculinic

OCEAN CITY — Debra Jean Miculinic, age 61, died Wednesday, July 6, in Ocean City after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Baltimore she was the beloved daughter of the late John Robert Moore, Jr. and Catherine Marie Moore.  

Born on August 2, 1949, Debra spent 26 years in Baltimore before moving to Ocean City in 1975. In 1976, Debra and Mike Miculinic opened Sunsports, a health and sporting goods store on 33rd Street in Ocean City. 

Miculinic was well known for her daily jogs on the boardwalk and was active in developing the annual 10 mile and 5k Fun Run. She was an avid gardener and a past member of the Ocean City Beautification Committee. During the mid 1990s, she became a Realtor, and has since become a well-respected and adored member of the Fritschle Group.

Miculinic was a beautiful person, loved by so many. Her beauty was matched by her strength, style and grace. She was always there to listen, always there to comfort, and always a wonderful friend. Her vibrant smile was an extension of her inner spirit, warm and welcoming, and will be greatly missed by all. 

She was the beloved sister of Daniel Alfred Moore of Plymouth, Mich., John Robert Moore, III of Falls Church, Va., Diane Arlene Little of Fallston, Jill Moore Collins of White Hall, and Patricia Goff of Sussex, N.J.; beloved mother of Benjamin Anthony Cellitto, Jr. of Baltimore, Christine Marie Cellitto of Ocean City, and Maia Moore Schneider of Ocean City; beloved grandmother of Bianca Estelle Cellitto, Lassen Joseph Schneider and Mea Estelle Cellitt.  She is also survived by her dear friend and loving companion Mr. Walter Charles (Buck) Mann; and many cousins nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 13, at Atlantic United Methodist Church on 4th Street in Ocean City. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to the Worcester County Humane Society, PO Box 48, Berlin, MD 21811 or Children’s House by the Sea, 13 66th St., Ocean City, MD 21842. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
