Pines mourns passing of Col. Hall

(Aug. 6, 2015) Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Howard L. Hall passed away on Monday, July 27 in Ocean Pines.
Born in 1924, Hall was the first recreational director in Ocean Pines, a sales agent during the early years of the community and a founder of the Pine’eers club.
He was also among the first homeowners in the community and managed the former Ocean Pines Equestrian Center.
“He’s been very, very involved in Ocean Pines,” retiring OPA Director Sharyn O’Hare said during a board meeting last Thursday. “We’ll miss him and he certainly was a very, very wonderful member of our community.”
Hall is survived by daughters Sherry Schreier and Miki Carroll, granddaughters Dawn and Danielle Vileno, great-granddaughter Maddie Valenzuela and his sister, Marlene Aigner.
A service was held at Hall’s home on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Hall’s name to the Snow Hill Animal Shelter at Worcester County Animal Control, Attn: Sue Rantz, 6207 Timmons Road, Snow Hill, Md. 21863.
