OP interviewed five GM candidates

(July 13, 2017) The Ocean Pines Association interviewed five general manager candidates, men and women, during meetings last Thursday and Friday, but no offer was extended as of Sunday, according to Board President Tom Herrick.
“We’re going to hire somebody. That’s as definitive as we can tell you,” interim General Manager Brett Hill said on Sunday.
Hill would not comment on whether one of the five people interviewed would be hired.
“It’s a two-way conversation,” he said. “They have to accept as well.”
Herrick, as of Sunday, said all five candidates were still in contention.
“We don’t know what’s going to happen,” Herrick said. “It’s still ongoing. When we actually have something to report, we will.”
Both men said they expected a decision to be made before the results of the August election.
Hill, who has been in the interim role for nearly a year, joked that his timetable for the hire was “yesterday.”
“And I said it in closed session and I’ll say it in open, despite Slobodan’s [Trendic] repeated requests, I have not applied for the job and that’s not on the table,” Hill said with a laugh.
