Mediacom adds Big Ten Network

DAGSBORO–Mediacom Communications Corporation announced last week that its customers in Delaware and Maryland now have access to the Big Ten Network (BTN) sports channel as a new arrival to both standard and HD Family Cable lineups.
Sports fans with a Mediacom Family Cable subscription will find BTN on channel 67 in standard definition when connected to a digital adapter or digital receiver (cable box); or on frequency 55-3 when connected directly to a digital-ready TV (no cable box). BTN HD is located at channel 832.
Throughout the college football season, BTN will televise multiple Saturday games featuring Big Ten Conference teams, typically with kick-off times at noon (ET) and 3:30 p.m. (ET). Operating 24/7, the BTN showcases a wide array of classic-to-current sports produced by the network and by the conference’s 14-member institutions.
In addition to fall football games, the network produces regular season men’s basketball games, women’s basketball games, dozens of Big Ten championships, and multiple programs that include interview and analysis pertaining to Big Ten Conference teams and coaches.
“This network is dedicated to showcasing a premier athletic and academic conference, and it has been hugely popular among Mediacom customers in Midwestern states who have been watching BTN for the past six years,” said Ed Pardini, Mediacom’s senior vice president. “We’re proud to now expand viewing by making the channel available to our valued customers in Delaware and Maryland.”
