Friday Arts on the River to welcome Snow Hill spring

SNOW HILL–Easter bonnets will be on display during Snow Hill’s Friday Arts on the River, First Friday Gallery Walk, beginning at 5 p.m.
The decorated hats are part of an Easter Bonnet decorating contest and will be featured in store windows and in the old Firehouse on Green Street.
Merchants and gallery owners will be open for shoppers to browse and enjoy discounts, art openings and music. The Arts and Entertainment Committee welcomes Adcock Studio Gallery at 106 East Green Street back to its First Friday line-up. The store has custom mirrors and lamps by Jim Coltellino and Shell Magnets from Poetry by Jen of Snow Hill. Entertainment will be provided by Charlie Flagiello.
Antiques by the River is celebrating spring and the season with an Easter egg hunt. Uncover discounts and prizes, as well.
Bishop’s Stock Fine Art Craft & Wine will show work by Lynne Lockhart and Kirk McBride during April. Wines from Italy will be featured for tasting.
Stop by The Corner Shoppe and see what’s cooking on the Big Green Egg Cooker on the corner.
Miss Patti Cake is offering 10 percent off Easter dessert orders and next door, the Sassy Girl Boutique has new spring jewelry and 20 percent off all Easter decor.
It’s “Affirmation April” at The Serenity Shoppe. An affirmation is a declaration that something is true for you. Stop by and choose from a large selection of affirmation jewelry and other items.
Upstairs at the Old Firehouse, Barbara Nelson’s Woven Dreams Studio will be open until 7:30 p.m. showing hand-woven market and Nantucket style baskets.
Opposite Directions will be playing at Harvest Moon Tavern from 8-11 p.m. and Todd Crosby and the WW Tunes will entertain diners at the Blue Dog Café.
First Friday is not complete without dinner in one of Snow Hill’s downtown restaurants: The Emporium Dinette, Blue Dog Café, Harvest Moon Tavern and American Legion Post #67. Reservations are strongly recommended.
